The EEL membrane, restrained by tension cables, undulates underwater under the effect of currents.
The entire surface of the membrane is in contact with the current and becomes an extremely powerful energy harvester for currents between 1.2 and 3.5 m/s. A patented electromechanical system converts the mechanical energy produced by the movements of the membrane into electrical energy, directly injectable into the main grid.
